Udimore in East Sussex Village Guide

About Udimore in East Sussex

Udimore village extends along a ridge about four miles to the west of Rye on the B2089. As you travel through the village there are wonderful views to the north across the Tillingham Valley and to the south across the Brede valley. Also to the south there are the towns of Winchelsea and Rye and beyond is the Channel. On an exceptionally clear day it is possible to see Cap Gris Nez on the french coast.

St Mary’s Church, part of which is Norman, is just off the main road down a lane nestling beside orchards and farm buildings.
