Brenda Hartill RE recently moved to Udimore, near Rye after many years based in London. She regularly shows at the Roche Gallery 93 High Street Rye, at the Bankside, & New Academy Galleries in London, and in over 20 galleries throughout the country and worldwide.

She is best known for her heavily embossed limited edition etchings and collagraphs, usually based on natural landscape forms, which range from finely drawn figurative etchings to bold textured abstract Collagraphs. Her abstract collages and mixed-media paintings, are wide-ranging, and include the use of encausic wax, watercolour and oil paint.

She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. Her book "Collagraphs and Mixed-media Printmaking", now in its third printing, was published by A and C Black in 2005.

Educated in New Zealand and London, she has studios in Rye and Spain. Brenda holds courses and lectures at Pound house from time to time, and occasional Open Studios.
